A useful next step

Choosing a model is only part of an AI application. Decide where prompts and data travel, how services connect and who can change the configuration. Moltern’s catalog and private connections provide the pieces; your team still chooses the providers and policies.

What to consider

Put it into practice

01

Make the data path explicit

Choose the model service or external provider, then connect the interface and any vector or tracing services. Verify where prompts and responses travel before using sensitive information.

02

Connect data privately

Put the service in the appropriate environment and use explicit private connections where supported. Keep server credentials out of browser code and source control.

03

Grant the access a task needs

Use managed roles and the narrowest useful scope. Set expiry for temporary access, inspect effective permissions and revoke the grant when the work is finished.

Detailed instructions are maintained in the product documentation.

Questions before you start

Does private hosting make any model private?

No. External providers can still receive requests. Your configuration determines where data goes and which services can access it.

Who owns backups and recovery?

Name an owner and review the service-specific persistence and recovery instructions before relying on its data.

Does using a secret allow someone to reveal it?

Secret use and secret reveal are separate permissions. Grant sensitive access only when the task requires it.
