Autobase on Moltern
Autobase is a control platform for provisioning and operating PostgreSQL clusters on dedicated servers or cloud infrastructure.
Autobase is not currently available for new Moltern deployments. Its Console is an infrastructure controller, not a standalone database service.
Why deployment is paused
A supported Autobase deployment needs an automation runtime, access to target servers, cluster networking, subscription entitlements, and credentials with enough authority to create or reconfigure database infrastructure. The former Moltern chart launched only the Console container and a data directory. It did not provide those required components or a least-privilege access model.
Granting broad host or server-control access to a normal catalog service would violate Moltern's isolation contract. The entry is therefore unavailable instead of exposing a console that cannot safely complete its core action.
Release criteria
An Autobase integration must pass all of these checks:
- Explicit external-infrastructure connection and customer confirmation.
- Scoped credentials stored securely and revocable without chart edits.
- Network rules limited to selected target servers and required ports.
- Cluster create, health, failover, backup, restore, and removal workflows.
- Entitlement and licensing errors shown before infrastructure changes.
- Audit evidence, usage metering, and cleanup without deleting unrelated data.
No live deployment screenshot is published because this integration has not passed those controls.
