AppFlowy on Moltern
AppFlowy is a collaborative workspace for documents, projects, databases, and knowledge management.
AppFlowy is not currently available for new Moltern deployments. The former single-container chart is not a complete deployment of the maintained self-hosted product.
Why deployment is paused
The maintained AppFlowy self-host distribution is a multi-service product. It includes application and web components plus authentication, PostgreSQL, Redis, object storage, background workers, routing, and administration. The upstream project also moved current self-host releases to a separately licensed distribution.
The former Moltern chart launched only the application server and mounted one data directory. It could not provide a working customer sign-in, web workspace, file storage, worker, or upgrade flow, so a container readiness check would be misleading.
Release criteria
Moltern will restore AppFlowy only after it can:
- Present and record the upstream license terms before installation.
- Provision every required dependency with generated credentials.
- Route the web client, API, authentication, and administration paths.
- Create an account, workspace, document, database view, and file upload.
- Preserve records and files across runtime and dependency replacement.
- Validate upgrades, recovery, metering, and deletion of owned data only.
No product screenshot is shown because the current Moltern chart has not passed this workflow. Disabling new installations does not modify existing records.
