AFFiNE on Moltern
AFFiNE combines documents, whiteboards, and structured information in a collaborative workspace.
AFFiNE is not currently available for new Moltern deployments. The previous chart does not meet Moltern's current dependency, credential, image, and durability requirements.
Why deployment is paused
Current AFFiNE self-hosting uses a server, PostgreSQL with the vector extension, Redis, a migration step, persistent configuration, and persistent blob storage. The former Moltern chart bundled the database and cache into one workload, stored a fixed database password in the chart, and used an old image reference. Its database storage was also not suitable for a production durability claim.
A healthy landing page would therefore not prove that documents, uploads, search data, migrations, or recovery work safely.
Release criteria
Before AFFiNE returns to the catalog, Moltern will verify:
- Managed PostgreSQL and Redis dependencies with generated credentials.
- A current, immutable AFFiNE release and repeatable migration job.
- Durable configuration and uploaded files across runtime replacement.
- First-account registration, document creation, canvas editing, and upload.
- Dependency reuse without deleting data owned by another service.
- Backup, restore, interrupted migration, metering, and complete cleanup.
No setup screenshot is published because the replacement chart has not passed those customer journeys. Existing service records are not modified by this catalog availability change.
